It’s safe to say that the entrepreneurial journey is not for the faint of heart, and with the staggering statistic that 66% of small businesses fail due to the internal and emotional factors, we’ve decided to shine a candid light on navigating the entrepreneurial rollercoaster for this month’s Meetup.

This talk is going to be a raw and personal story provided by Phil Dumas, CEO and Founder of Unikey Technologies (an Orlando-based company) who recently appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank. Phil will be giving a real-world account of his startup(s) journey, his incredible highs and lows, and he’ll dive into specific examples and strategies for how to deal with the wild ride of entrepreneurship.

About the presenter:

Phil Dumas, CEO/Founder, Unikey Technologies

An Engineer by degree, but entrepreneur by practice, Phil Dumas has played key roles in several startup and early-stage companies. Most recently, Phil founded Unikey Technologies, a secure mobile key platform and experience company focused on smart enabling leading access control company’s portfolios. Phil has had a passion for, and has been working on, alternative access control solutions for over a decade. With extensive product development, large customer management, turn-around, and M&A experience, Phil has been able to wear the multiple hats required to enable rapid growth. Phil is also known for his appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank.
